Highlighted: The Flat Head 1001

The Flat Head 1001 is based on the extremely popular 3001-model. The Flat Head decided to step it's game up and created the same cut but with a heavier fabric (16oz instead of 14.5oz) and called it the 1001.

People from all over the world love TFH for it's fast fading, characterful denim, so they made sure the heavier denim would have the same property. It will already show signs of fading after as little as 20 wears, and it will develop amazing contrast if you wear it for a longer period of time.
Since the 1001 denim is unsanforized (shrink-to-fit), we're soaking a pair of these for the occasion to see how much shrinkage you can expect. The pair we're soaking is a tagged size W31-L36. Here are the measurements when raw:

Waist: 16.25" / 41.5cm
Front rise: 9.5" / 24.5cm
Back rise: 13" / 33cm
Thigh: 11" / 28cm
Knee: 8.5" / 21cm
Hem: 8.25" / 20,5cm
Inseam: 37" / 93cm

So, on to the soaking! This pair has been soaked in a bucket for about an hour in hot tap water. Post soak, the jeans measure:

Waist: 15.25" / 39cm
Front rise: 9.25" / 23.5cm
Back rise: 12.25" / 31cm
Thigh: 10.5" / 26.5cm
Knee: 8.0" / 20.5cm
Hem: 7.75" / 19.5cm
Inseam: 35" / 89cm

The denim is so stiff after the soak that the jeans can stand on its own.

We hope this helped when you're choosing your next pair of denim. Got your mind set on a pair of The Flat Head 1001's too now? Check them out in our online shop.
